CARAVAGGIO AND PAINTED LIGHT
For kindergarden (5 years old) - Primary - Secondary of 1st and 2nd degree - Groups of families and adults
Michelangelo Merisi known as il Caravaggio, through an all-encompassing ability, creates "reality" thanks to a wise use of light, shades and colors that change with the change of his life. It paints the light that gives shape to its characters, as they are in reality, who look at us and tell their story, as well as that of the artist in the moment when it is accomplished. Caravaggio stops the time and captures, as in a still frame, the beauty and the strength of emotions: joy, pain, suffering. Why to know Caravaggio? Because he "gave light to the dark" and life to the objects and to splendid to models who have posed for him... a very special experience, on the edge of Caravaggio's words, will help the students of every grade of school to observe the works and let themselves to be suggested by the colors, the shadows and the light of the works. The activity, carried out in a teaching room, is propedeutic and is complemented by educational materials offered as instruments of fruition for the vision of the works, study and deepening.
